HAGERSTOWN, Md. - Black Rock Bar & Grill is returning to Hagerstown. The restaurant will officially reopen its Valley Mall location on Thursday, October 1, 2026, under new ownership, marking a fresh chapter for the restaurant and a renewed commitment to the Hagerstown community.

Guests will find Black Rock right where they remember it, bringing back the signature sizzling experience that has made the restaurant a local favorite. Known for its STEAK ON A STONE™ concept, Black Rock allows guests to cook premium steaks to their preferred temperature on a 755-degree volcanic rock right at the table. Guests who prefer to leave the cooking to the kitchen can also have their steak chef-prepared to their preferred temperature.

This reopening is about more than turning the lights back on, it’s about building on what guests loved about Black Rock while creating an even stronger presence in the Hagerstown community.” The new ownership team is focused on making Black Rock a welcoming destination for Hagerstown and the surrounding community, whether it’s dinner with the family, drinks with friends, a special celebration or simply a night out.

To celebrate the return, Black Rock Bar & Grill will host a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Thursday, October 1 at 1:00 p.m. at its Valley Mall location. The restaurant will officially open its doors for dinner beginning at 3:00 p.m. The community is invited to join Black Rock and the Washington County Chamber of Commerce in celebrating the restaurant’s return and the beginning of this exciting new chapter.
