About Craig:
Entrepreneur | Community Builder
Born and raised in Hagerstown, Maryland, V. Craig Campbell is a serial entrepreneur passionate about building purpose-driven businesses. A graduate of North Hagerstown High School and Frostburg State University, he launched his first company - an insurance and investment firm - at the age of 29, growing it into five branch offices with over $10,000,000 in annual sales across Maryland and Pennsylvania through strong leadership, process development, and marketing systems.
In 2018, he founded River Bottom Roasters, a craft coffee roasting company that now generates over $600,000 annually and is projected to surpass $1 million in revenue within the next year. He also owns Free Range Cafe, a fast-casual restaurant known for its “good mood food”- natural, wholesome, and seriously delicious. In 2022, he added commercial real estate to his portfolio, currently managing nine properties focused on mixed-use development and affordable housing.
Beyond business, his heart for service has led him to mission fields across South America, where he helped build multi-use facilities for medical, educational, and spiritual needs. These experiences inspired his current partnership with a family in Nicaragua to develop a coffee farm and roastery in Rancho Grande - aimed at improving wages, sustainability, and local quality of life.
For the past nine years, Craig has served on the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Club of Washington County, where he is currently Board President. He also plays a key role in the capital campaign to build a new $14 million flagship club to serve the youth of the region.
He’s been married to a beautiful wife for 18 years, is a proud dad of three, and shares life’s adventures with one perfectly half-lazy River Dog - just his speed.
