About Damien Myers:
Damien, a Maugansville native and North Hagerstown High School alumnus, earned his bachelor's degree from Frostburg State University in Frostburg, Maryland. After college, he returned to Washington County, coaching football and wrestling at North High for 11 years while working full-time in mental health.
Damien has been with the Western Maryland Consortium for over three years. Prior to his time with the Consortium, Damien worked supporting individuals with mental and physical barriers at Potomac Community Services and Brook Lane. Deeply invested in Washington County, his family owns 11 rental properties—nine in the county and eight within Hagerstown.
Damien is married to Heather Guessford, President and CEO of your United Way of Washington County. They raise their 10-year-old daughter, Harlow, instilling the values of giving back and serving those most in need in our community.
Outside work, Damien enjoys riding his Harley, fishing, hunting, camping, kayaking with his wife and daughter, going to the Eastern shore, sailing, and spending time with family and friends. He also likes working with his hands, fixing things around the house, which is often needed with a busy family and a house full of visiting neighborhood kids.
Damien volunteers often—sometimes by choice, sometimes “voluntold” by his wife.
