Pine Hill Recreation Area, 12684 Mentzer Gap Rd, Waynesboro, Pa. Presented by Buttonwood Nature Center, home of The Institute. FREE. Geared for kids of all ages, the event features a variety of activities and entertainment throughout the day. Featured entertainer, 2–3 p.m. is Mark DeRose, an artist, songwriter and musician. DeRose’s music has rhythms of rock, blues, and Americana, and lyrics that are accessible for children. He plays guitar, gets kids dancing and involved with percussion. Other activities include a guided StoryWalk® and craft, Waynesboro Childrens Theatre Troupe performance, and activity stations with area groups.
