About the Artist: 

American Portrait Artist, NICOLE TROUP


Nicole Troup is an American traditional portrait painter working predominantly with oils, charcoal and gilding practices . After earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2008, Troup began a career as a professional portrait artist and art instructor. She has studied with and/or taken workshops with acclaimed portrait artist Everett Raymond Kinstler, Michelle Dunaway and Michael Timothy Davis.

Troup’s work is in private collections across the United States, Canada, and Great Britain. Her clients comprise of local and national clients including CEOs, Mayors, doctors, the VFW and public figures including WWE wrestling champion Titus O’Neil. Nicole has also collaborated with former Pennsylvania Governor, Thomas Corbett in 2015 to paint his portrait.

Nicole instructs workshops and classes online with Scottsdale Artists' School, in Maryland at the Museum of Fine Arts and Maryland Hall and locally in her Greencastle, Pennsylvania studio and throughout Pennsylvania.

In addition to her profession as an art instructor and commissioned artist, she collaborates with people as muses for her "Portraits for a Cause" project. The project often highlights her muses' personal stories and raises awareness or funds for certain causes or charities. A few of these collaborations include subjects in her local area as well as personalities in the entertainment world and Hollywood.

Troup’s work has been featured in National and International magazines and journals, including the American Art Collector, Fine Art Connoisseur, The Guide Artists Magazine, the Journal of the Portrait Society of America and the Hagerstown Magazine.

Her work has won numerous awards and has been showcased nationally earning a finalist status in the Portrait Society of America's National competition and a semi-finalist in the Art Renewal Center International competition, and featured in the 2026 Group Exhibitions for the Portrait Society of Atlanta Spring Exhibition. She is a state Ambassador for the Portrait Society of America, a board member of the Maryland Society of Portrait Painters, a member of the Oil Painters of America, and an out-of-state member of the Portrait Society of Atlanta.

Payment, Cancelation & Refund Policy: Member rate applies to all employees of Chamber member companies in good standing. Payment must accompany registration.
