2026 Nomination Form 4 - Small Business of the Year

The Small Business of the Year Award is given to a business with 15 or fewer employees and a physical address in Washington County that has demonstrated any or all of the following:  product or service quality, innovation, community involvement, high standards in business practice, and a commitment to Washington County and the community.

1. The organization must have a physical location in Washington County. 

2. If any of the information provided with this form is inaccurate or incomplete, the nomination will be invalid. 

3. The organization you are nominating will be contacted using the information provided with this form.

4. Winners of the Small Business of the Year Award from the past five years are not eligible to be considered for the 2026 Small Business of the Year Award.

(Congrats to the winners of the past five years: Meinelschmidt Distillery, University System of Maryland at Hagerstown, Saunders Tax & Accounting, Innovative Inc., Washington County Commission on Aging)

5. Finalists for the Small Business of the Year Award from the past two years are not eligible to be considered for the 2026 Small Business of the Year Award.

(Finalists of the past two years: Stay Home Senior Services, Washington County Playhouse Dinner Theater, Stone House Urban Winery, Frederick, Seibert & Associates)

6. As of 2024, 501(c)(3) organizations are not eligible to be considered for the Small Business of the Year Award.
