The Small Nonprofit of the Year Award is given to a 501(c)(3) organization providing exemplary services and/or programs with 15 or fewer employees and a physical address in Washington County. The recipient receives an unrestricted grant of $500, made possible by the Community Foundation of Washington County, Maryland.

4. Winners of the Nonprofit of the Year Award from the past five years are not eligible to be considered for the 2025 Small Nonprofit of the Year Award.
