Family and Medical Leave Insurance Program (FAMLI) Webinar

Description

The Maryland General Assembly passed the Time to Care Act in 2022 (affectionately known as FAMLI), designed to provide paid leave benefits to eligible Maryland employees, through an insurance fund. Payment into this insurance fund begins on January 1, 2027, and benefits become available to those eligible on January 1, 2028. Now is the time to educate yourself so you and your business can begin preparing and planning for the impact this mandated program will have on your business or nonprofit.

To help you prepare and plan, we have partnered with Janelle Gardiner, JAG Consulting, to present information on Maryland’s impending Family and Medical Leave Insurance program (FAMLI) on Friday, December 12, from 12:00–12:45 pm, via Zoom.


About Janelle:

As the owner of JAG Consulting, LLC, an HR firm dedicated to supporting Maryland’s small businesses, Janelle Gardiner has seen firsthand the increasing challenges created by recent Maryland mandates. In response, she has stepped forward not only as a consultant, but also as an advocate for small businesses across Maryland.

Janelle is a member of SHRM, Human Resource Association of Southern Maryland; the Maryland State Chamber of Commerce (Labor and Employment Committee); and the St. Mary’s County Chamber of Commerce (Ambassador).
