About Addie:
Addie Nardi has been the Chief Executive Officer of the Boys & Girls Club of Washington County for nine years. In this role, she is the first woman to head up the organization in its 85 year history.
Addie has been in non-profit work for 18 years, starting at the United Way of Washington County in 2008 as the Development Director. She also had that same role at the Humane Society of Washington County for the 3 ½ years prior to running the Boys & Girls Club.
In her time at the Boys & Girls Club, Addie replaced the flagship clubhouse at 805 Pennsylvania Avenue with a 22,000 square foot, state of the art community center. This almost $15,000,000 project included not only tearing down the former building, but acquiring the land on either side of the former building to allow for expansion.
In her time at the club, Addie also expanded the club’s services in the county through partnerships with Washington County Public Schools and into Allegany County. Currently, the Boys & Girls Club of Washington County run traditional clubs at the Fletcher Center, the Jim Deaner Center in Noland Village, the Elgin Station Community Center in Gateway Crossing and in Frederick Manor. In addition, they run an extended learning program in partnership with Pangborn Elementary School and a 21st Century Community Learning Center in partnership with Jonathan Hager Elementary School. The organization also runs a small program in Cumberland at the Banneker Gardens housing development.
Addie is a graduate of South Hagerstown High School and the University of Maryland. Her first career was in sports and entertainment, spending seven years working in the Baltimore Orioles minor league baseball system.
She currently resides in Greencastle, PA, where she engages in her favorite activity of being Genevieve and Alex’s mom.
