TOPIC: Star's Stripes and Heroes Program

Speaker: Melissa Langford, Star Therapeutic Equestrian Center

Join Melissa from Star Community, Inc. as she discusses:

  • Who Star Community is
  • Programs for Vets/first responders offered
  • The healing effect horses have on people

About Melissa:

Melissa Langford became a member of the Star Community team in the Spring of 2023. She is the Center Manager overseeing Star Therapeutic Equestrian Center.

Melissa has been riding horses since she was 12 years old. She showed Quarter Horses and then moved into Jumping and Dressage. Melissa studied teaching and training at Meredith Manor Equestrian Centre. She began giving riding lessons in 2001 and became a certified Equine Sports Massage Therapist through Equissage in 2005. She worked as a Vet Tech for 10 years and attended CNM College for Veterinary Technology and Business Management.

Free for anyone to attend.

Time

Doors will open at 7:45, program will begin at 8.
